![]() ![]() The ship felt a lot more empty without him.Īlso, about the ending: As Stella was paddling towards the door I was telling myself "Okay so. Finding him was such a welcome surprise! Also, I almost never cry but I teared up during the last hug and when he mentioned how her mother was asking him to be strong but he couldn't anymore. Zero complaints.Ġ1- Stanley: The best boy. Also, his passion for art seems really genuine and at times it feels as if he is talking about the game itself. Snooty bird has a touching story, is nice towards Stella, makes everyone happy with his music and exhibits and is easy to feed. Reminds me of several people in real life.Ġ2- Gustav: Big fan. but nope: Still sleeping around and not terribly ashamed about it. I honestly thought her arc would be about how he was asking us to secretly get gifts for Astrid, the love of her life. but he made me smile often enough that he helps sell what Astrid sees in him. ![]() It ends up being a nice tale about how we often fall in love for the wrong people.Ġ3- Giovanni: is an absolute douche. She's introduced as a proletarian activist but her story is mostly about chasing after her former partner. Also, yet another character with great design and animations.Ġ4- Astrid: I wish we had seen more about Astrid herself. I dig her environmental attitude and how in love she was with Stella's aunt. ![]() I agree with The Kidd on how it would have been better to show some reaction from Stella.Ġ5- Summer: Summer was one cool snake. Sorry about that, Alice.Ġ6- Atul: Uncle Atul was always good company till he suddenly wasn't. Her mood wasn't the best when we sailed through the moon door. Sadly I never figured out how to walk her back to her home during the evening so her last night on the ship she was left alone at the forward deck. Didn't quite get what the deal with her father was.Ġ7- Alice: Alice has a touching story, but tales about elderly slowly losing their mind chill my spine more than warm my heart. I had fun with their quest.Ġ8- Gwen: I like her friendly attitude and cute look. A bit too on the nose, too wordy, otherwise good company. C-, don't see me after class.Ġ9- Buck: He's fine, I guess. Great animations, though.ġ0- Elena: I thought her goodbye was well done, but it was probably a bit predictable as a stereotype of a stern teacher. Especially the lion (tiger?) woman, whose quests revolve around going to different islands one after another and not doing anything other than to talk to a single person on each island that tells you where to go next.ĮDIT: The music is pretty great though and it has a really relaxing atmosphere until you have to use fast travel all the time because quests make you jump all around the map.ġ1- Bruce & Mickey: I did warm up to them eventually but honestly the way they made everyone else less happy meant they had to go ASAP. Most other characters don't have anything like that. You have to really interact with the mechanics of the game like moving everything around so her house can be on the bottom floor, walking her to the front of the ship and back each day or dressing up differently for her. The only character I felt sad for was the old lady, because her story is actually touching and the things you do for her are kinda neat. Most characters are so bland and give you meaningless tasks, that bringing them to the Everdoor feels like a relief rather than it being bittersweet. Honestly, i felt absolutely nothing most of the time. ![]()
